March 23rd, 2008
On March 16th, 2008, Pastor Jim Devney delivered a sermon in a local private school's auditorium. One week later on Easter Sunday, he gave his first message in the current church building. While Pastor Jim's journey had begun many years before, that Sunday would mark the beginning of Gracepoint Church, as we know it today.
November 12th, 2024
Over sixteen years later on November 12th 2024, Gracepoint Church was able to do something that felt truly miraculous: it was able to pay off its mortgage. In celebration and appreciation, Pastor Jim ceremonially burnt the mortgage during a service shortly thereafter. Thanks to the many years of sacrificial giving by the church's congregation, Gracepoint was able to be relieved of a financial burden and press on towards seeing all men saved and coming unto the knowledge of the truth.
April 20th, 2025
On February 15th 2025, Pastor Jim Devney went home to be with the Lord. While he will be deeply missed, Gracepoint Church and the Body of Christ as a whole still has a purpose. On April 20th 2025, Dow Boyer was officially voted in as the new pastor of Gracepoint Church and looks to keep Pastor Jim Devney's legacy alive while offering his life as a living sacrifice for Jesus Christ and the edification of His Body.
Started in 2008 by Pastor Jim Devney, Gracepoint Church is driven by a desire to see all men saved and come unto the knowledge of the truth. Over 300 people were there on the first Sunday Service.
